Ed Isar is a DJ, music editor and PR professional from Paris, France. He is one of the founders of Get The Curse Music, a music blog with a global following which is established as one of the leading club nights in Paris and a critically acclaimed hybrid digital and vinyl record label that boasts rising-stars Clement Meyer, Olibusta, Darabi and Le Loup in its producer roster.

Ed Isar practices the art of DJing following Get The Curse’s unique vision of the dancefloor. Going against the tired trends of current dance music, it’s not about how new a track is, how many times it’s been charted or if it belongs to that cool post-something subgenre every one is trying to replicate. With a complete disregard for trends but with a musical culture that ranges far beyond his years, it’s never about quantity, and always about timeless quality. In terms of dance music Ed’s main influences are found in a wide variety of genres that ranges from the freshest UK Bass to vintage italo disco, but the core of his groovy, rhythmic sound is indebted to the golden age of Chicago house and Detroit techno. There’s a right sound for every time, dancefloor and mood, and Ed knows where it’s at, whether we’re talking hedonistic sun-drenched disco, or twisted peak time madness.

Ed has rocked dancefloors in Paris, London, Copenhagen (at Udtryk events,twice), Los Angeles and New York. This will be his first gig in Europe after returning from a two-year stint in the US, and he couldn’t be more excited to share the love with the familiar and new faces of the Udtryk crew.

Efter overvejelse og afstemning har Udtryk valgt “simon”. Vi vil selvfølgelig gerne sige tak til alle som har sendt ind.

Plakaten skal nu behandles og trykkes. Herefter sætter vi den op – skriv en mail, hvis du vil være med.

10. september fejrer vi plakaten. Vi ved endnu ikke hvor, men CIO, DK/CH og Ed Isar, FR [Get The Curse Music] kommer og fyrer op.

 

 

 

Endnu en Plakatfest!

Udtryk laver endnu en Plakatfest og denne gang i samarbejde med og til støtte for Klub Medkraft.Vi søger visualiserede holdninger og kunstneriske udtryk, som vil udfordre det kapitalistiske samfund.Du kan indsende dit bud, hvorefter en plakat udvælges til tryk, ophængning og distribution.Alle bud udstilles i dette webgalleri, hvor der også er mulighed for diskussion. 1.august vælger vi en vinder og sætter 1000 plakater op.Når plakaten er på gaden, holder vi en Plakatfest, som gerne skulle dække udgifter og støtte Klub Medkraft
